4months baby comparison

Ethan is now 4 months old! Already! How did that happen so fast?
He weighed in at the doc's office at 15lbs even and 25 inches tall.
Growing like a weed, working on his rollover skills, learning to sit up with help, drooling like crazy, babbles a few stories every now and then, has the cutest and sweetest giggles (his collarbone is his best tickle spot).

A lot of people have commented that he looks just like his big brother Triston. I think all three of the kids looked very similar as babies. So I dug up some pics of the older two from when they were 4 months old.

I just want to go shopping

All I had planned for today was shopping... new clothes for the baby munchkin growing like a weed, and food for the other two munchkins that eat like there's no tomorrow. Then I was going to come home and shampoo the foot filth off the carpet in the living room. Who's bright idea was it to buy an off-white carpet anyway when we have 3 kids? Oh right, nevermind! (I picked the carpet.)

Easy, simple day, right? I thought it would be, but I'm still at home sitting here on the computer. Munchkin baby decided to throw a crazy crying fit and didn't like anything I had to offer... boobs, hugging, rocking, tried boobs again, walking around the house, playing, sitting in the swing, cartoons on tv, more boobs? Nope. Nothing. Just wanted to cry. He finally fell asleep after screaming in my ear for a while and I managed to get him down for a nap.

39.5 Weeks and a False Alarm

So here we are now, just 3 days before munchkin's due date. I honestly didn't think I would make it this far and thought for sure that he would be another early arrival. I guess he showed us!! While it has been a fairly easy and pleasant pregnancy, this last trimester has been quite different than what I experienced with the first two. The braxton hicks contractions have been very obvious and much stronger. I barely even noticed them with the other two. For at least a month, I get this weird pelvic pressure and some funny feelings, like my water is about to spring a leak. I'm naturally on edge about my water breaking before labor starts since it happened already with both of the first two pregnancy, without any warning, contractions, or weird funny feelings down there. Our little munchkin has been head down and perfectly in position already for a few months, while the other two did not turn until the very end. I think the difference in position has probably contributed to the heavier pressure I feel this time around. Not at all painful really, just heavy and sometimes feels like I've been kicked in the crotch or like I've been riding a bike too long (and no, sadly, my bike has not moved from the garage in months).

We are cruising right along!! This pregnancy really has flown by. Of course, throw a military move in the mix and everything involved with that, plus two months of summer break with the kids out of school, and time will inevitably slip right through your fingers.

Four more days until a big preggo milestone. I'll be 37 weeks along on Monday, which means our little munchkin will be considered full term from that point forward. Babies make their debut whenever they feel like it (our first born proved that at 2 weeks early!). So if this little guy decides to greet us early, which I still feel that he will, we're happy that he's fully developed and safe to do so. I had my latest check-up with the doc yesterday and our little melon is now measuring to be about 6lbs 1oz and still looking great and healthy in there. I'm doing just fine as well. My feet were pretty swollen for a few days last week, but I think being outside in the heat while bending down, kneeling down, and crawling around to get some furniture painted had contributed to that.
